What is a Holistic Service?
A service provided by a practitioner who has a comprehensive focus on treating the patient as a whole. This leans away from a focus on the illness or a particular system within the body and more on looking at the interconnections within and the body and supporting the entire person; mind, body and spirit.
Reimbursable Holistic Services by JIPK are services not covered by your insurance company. Some Examples are:
- Acupuncture
- Art Therapy
- Biofeedback
- Bodywork- Chiropractic, Craniosacral, Massage
- Functional Medicine
- Energy Medicines
- Meditation
- Nutrition
- Movement Therapies- Yoga, Dance, Martial Arts
- Sound and Music Therapies

What is a Holistic Supply?
Product (s) that are designed to support ones optimal health (mind, body, emotional, spiritual) from a natural place and promoting balance of the whole person.
Reimbursable holistic supplies by JIPK are supplies not reimbursed by your insurance company and some example are:
- Essential oils/Aromatherapy kits
- Crystals/stones
- Supplements/Herbs/Vitamins
- Balms/Creams from natural products for pain relief or wound healing
- CBD oils/tinctures
- Chimes/sound healing tools
- Meditation CDs/downloads
- Prayer Beads/Prayer Shawls
- Herbal Teas

Recreational/Sports/adaptive (restore)
The reimbursable recreational, sports related, adaptive supplies, services and experiences are ones that are designed to assist the child in returning to a level of childhood activity that they can given any limitations from treatment. If they have recovered from cancer and are NED ,they qualify. If they are in the midst of treatment, they qualify. We desire to assist in bringing them any joy possible given the path they have had to undertake. We want to restore some childhood pleasures.
Some examples are:
- Sports equipment- helmets, soccer goals, bats, balls, bikes, lacrosse sticks, horseback riding boots
- Arts related equipment- pianos, an easel, camera, paintbrushes/canvas, drums
- Sports related experiences- sports camp fees, training sessions with a coach, ski lessons, tickets to a baseball game
- Arts related experiences- piano lessons, dance lessons, art camp/lessons
- Adpative equipment- adapted bikes, adaptive wheelchairs for a sport, adaptive skis
